"If you like your manis with a side of microaggression, by all means, get services here. I watched for a full hour as white patrons walked in and were told slots were available for later in the week and Black patrons were told there was a waitlist because they were fully booked. I watched as white patrons were greeted with smiles and banter and Black patrons were told "so you gonna get acrylics or what?" or ignored completely as they stood waiting for someone to help them. The salon triple books slots with multiple clients slotted for the same time and only three people to work on nails. When I pointed out that my simple polish removal (something, for the record, any run of the mill, strip mall salon could do in less time) was taking well over an hour, the attendant rudely said she was only 30 mins behind but if I was in a hurry I could leave and yanked and pulled at my hands while taking the remaining polish off. They only take cash for services (which they don't advertise when booking), not card, CashApp, or Venmo. And my fingertips are practically aching from the rough treatment I received during my services. I did inform the manager/owner about the disparity in service to customers, but he was completely tone deaf. He offered a "discount"... for discrimination I guess??? Do yourself and your nail beds a favor, if you value your sense of self, time, and equity, don't come here."
