"Thank God for Sophia! I came to NY for work as well as to make some life changing choices. I wanted a crow tattoo so bad for special reasons. The day before I had an appt with Live by the Sword tattoos and the tattoo artist declined doing this tattoo saying he didn’t like it. No one even cared in the shop. I came and left in tears. I walked right in to the Village Pop up and Sophia immediately helped me and gave me just what I wanted! I fell asleep honestly while she did the tattoo. It hurt more after than durning lol. Price was a lil high for me, but it was worth it. Use cash because they did charge me an extra on top of taxes for using card and there was an atm in the store. Guy at the front a little suspect, but she was a Gem"

"90% of my tattoos have come from this shop over the last 5 years and every time I go somewhere else for whatever reason it pales in comparison to Waterstreet. Steve, Zees, and the rest of the crew are an absolute pleasure to be around and be tattooed by. They’re attitude is always super positive and getting a tattoo becomes more of a hang out with the homies which enhances the experience. They respect their clients and are always improving their craft. Whenever I walk in whether it’s to get tattooed or to just hang for a minute, they’re working diligently on a new piece to make sure they’re giving the best quality we all know and love. Every tattoo I’ve received (and I have a lot) has the cleanest line work, boldest colors, best shading, and never once been infected. Waterstreet is my ride or die shop and it should be yours too."

"Marco is awesome! He gave me my first tattoo ever and was so patient, talked me through it thoroughly, made suggestions, and I swear it did not hurt AT ALL. I loved seeing all the extra care he was obviously taking to be sanitary, and he kept me laughing through the whole thing too as an added bonus. He was even super sensitive to all my little quirks like the fact that I'm allergic to adhesives and quickly came up with a different solution to cover my tattoo after it was done. Seriously I could not have asked for a better experience and I plan to have Marco do several more tattoos for me. I've also had all my piercings done here by Jay who is the BEST. I seriously don't trust anyone else- I drive 45 minutes to come here because IT IS WORTH IT."
