"Really awful haircut. I asked for "above the ears", and he began scalping on the very first pass. Literally! He took the clippers with a very short setting, set it against my skin, and completely stripped the hair on one side of my head. I knew what was happening after the very first pass, but it was too late to change course. Then, after stripping the sides of my head, he diddled around endlessly with the razor trimming the edges. Black guy for a barber, I don't think he had ever cut a white guy's hair. Then, having told me a lower price and not even trying to cut the way I asked, he kept all the change from a $20 bill. I haven't had such a bad haircut since I was 4 years old and grabbed the clippers when my mother wasn't watching and ran them down the middle of my scalp. That inverted mohawk I gave myself didn't get more unfavorable comments than these guy's handiwork. Upon meeting me for the first time after my scalping, virtually every person that knew me commented unfavorably on this "cut". Sheep are shorn in much the same way as I was. Literally and financially."
