"Update- Management reached out to me and apologized for the situation, explained that the piercer had recently been fired. I appreciate the apology and I am glad that the piercer mentioned in the original review is no longer employed here. I’ve been debating writing this review because I understand that everyone has bad days and everyone makes mistakes, but my experience at this shop was unacceptable. I went in to get my snakebites pierced around three-ish months ago, I had messaged the shop before to verify the pricing but when I got to the shop I was charged double what I was quoted initially. I informed the piercer that I was allergic to latex and requested he not use latex gloves, he acted as if that bothered him but went to go see if he had any latex free gloves. He came back and said he didn’t have any latex free gloves, I’d already paid at this point so I said it was fine. The entire time he was piercing me he acted like I was bothering him by being there. At one point during the piercing process he had my friend grab something for him, telling her to put handsanitizer on before she grabbed it, while I appreciate his attempts to stay sanitary, my friend should not have been handling any of the equipment. I had also explained I’m very allergic to certain metals and he told me the jewelry he used didn’t contain any of my allergens, not only did I react due to the metal being low quality but the jewelry he put in was too short to accommodate the swelling and the ball fell off the very next day. I ended up going to another piercing shop to get the jewelry changed out. Overall, my biggest problems were the fact that I communicated my allergies and they weren’t taken seriously, the piercers attitude was unnecessarily rude, and the fact that I was charged double of what I was originally told the service would cost."
