"Also known as Hudson Beach. They have some covered pavilions with tables to sit at. Great to watch the sunset. Get there early, parking lot fills up fast. Also nice to grab some coffee and a breakfast sandwich and go early when it's nice a cool"
"At Travertine Hot Spring you may choose to soak in the waters, the awesome Eastern Sierra scenery, the unique geological site or all three simultaneously.
It's only a short distance between the trailhead and one of the most popular bathing sites made possible by the hot spring, but there are several other locations to be found by hiking around the area which is also the best way to explore the topography and understand the curious geology.
Be sure to check the temperature of the water before plunging. At it's source the hot spring can be too hot to touch, though most of the pools range from hot-tub like temperatures to luke warm.
Located just south of Bridgeport, and just a mile off the 395, follow Jack Sawyer road to the parking lot, trailhead and restrooms. Jack Sawyer road is a mostly dirt road but is easy to traverse. Easily accessible hot spring are rare, so expect this site to be crowded on weekends, and expect a diverse crowd of people. Clothing is optional here."
"Lush shirt trails. Not accessible for wheelchair users, but easy to walk. Beautiful views. Children love the Koi pool!"
